Not sure about you, but I'm not about to install malware on my computer just to be able to watch F1. Later edit: I had the "permanent red buffering screen" problem while trying to watch the FP1 replay, but after refreshing the page a few times it finally started working, without installing anything.
Fix for F1TV on Xbox One. Fixed. Download the wireless display App from the Microsoft store on your xb1 (not the wireless display Adapter app) Start the App. It depends on your mobilephone if you have a samsung Smartphone than you can activate smart view and if everything is correct than should be your xbox Name shown at the smart view app than No, their customer support literally doesn't know certain TV's enjoy official AirPlay 2 support. You can't *only* support Apple TV's and not the TV sets that have it. There's no way. This is also confirmed by the fact that it doesn't work on Apple TV devices for some people. There's a lot of misinformation going around about this issue.

Cast tab on the chrome browser on the laptop, or use a HDMI cable between the laptop and the TV. Anything that can take a stream url, e.g. VLC on PC, Mac or AppleTV, Android etc. Multi screen/stream also possible with ease. There's no casting function at the moment.

F1Viewer is a great tool as well and very customisable through config files. Race Control is (imho) easier to use and has some features that F1viewer doesn't have, such as downloading of races/episodes, saving/loading of video player layout, easy positioning of video player windows and recording of live broadcasts.
